Additional Information

You will receive 4 doses of the study drug or placebo (inactive drug) as a subcutaneous (under the skin) injection in the abdomen. The injection sites will be rotated in the abdomen.

Part B Heart Monitoring
Continuous heart monitoring involves a special cassette recorder that is used to monitor your heart rate and rhythm. Patches connected to wires will be placed on your chest. You will be given a belt and a pouch for the monitor and will wear it beginning approximately 1 hour before dosing and approximately 72 hours after dosing on Days 1 and 22.

- Healthy Males and Females of Non-Childbearing Potential, age 21-60

- Body Mass Index between 20-32

- Study involves 1 stay of 30 nights, plus 3 follow-up visits

- Compensation up to $15,075 may be provided for time and participation

- Receive up to $200 per qualified participant

Details

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability (side effects) of single and multiple doses of the study drug at gradually increasing dose levels. The study will also measure how much of the study drug gets into the bloodstream, and how long it takes the body to get rid of it. In addition, the effect of the study drug on certain hormones, proteins, and minerals in the body will be measured.
